Those Who Followed Him

Luke's specification of those who followed Jesus gives the body of Christ, first, great revelation of Jesus's redeeming and reconciling power, and second, great edification. If God can use these men and women, God can use you!

1. The Twelve (v. 1)

1. The Twelve Apostles represent the twelve tribes of Israel.
2. The Twelve Apostles unveil the scope of Jesus's transforming power.
3. The Twelve Apostles demonstrate the duty of the transformed: to transform.

2. The women (vv. 2-3)

1. Mary Magdalene, the lowly
2. Joanna, the elite
3. Susanna and many others, the all

1. Behold Jesus, the Great Reconciler.

2. Women of the Word--be inspired by the women in the Word!
